Since 2006 The New Zealand Hydrological Society has developed a strong relationship with the Korean Water Resources Association (KWRA).   In February 2007 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Presidents of both societies formalising this link.

In May 2007 four members of the New Zealand Hydrological Society attended the annual conference of KWRA and presented papers (see below).
