of the science of hydrology and its application to the under-standing and management
of New Zealand's water resources
- recognise outstanding achievement in operational hydrology in New Zealand.
THE AWARD
The Award will be a suitably inscribed medal to be presented at the Society's Annual
Symposium.

The Award will recognise significant contributions to operational hydrology
(the acquisition, transmission, processing, archiving and application of data
related to the quantity and quality of water in all parts of the hydrological
cycle) in New Zealand, as demonstrated by:
- introduction or development of technology that significantly has enhanced
operational hydrology, and/or
- a person's impact on the contribution of operational hydrology to the science
