The Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas) is seeking a talented Senior Hydrographer to join the Water Management and Assessment Branch.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Hydrographer, you will provide hydrographic services and advice to ensure Tasmania’s water resources are managed sustainably to support the continued prosperity and development of the State’s industries and the community’s standard of living.
You will work both in the office and in the great outdoors as a member of a supportive team.
Our ideal candidate has:
a passion for hydrography and water resource management
the ability to build and nurture relationships with industry and stakeholder partners
the ability to think strategically and understand the challenges facing natural resource management in Tasmania now and into the future
a Diploma from a recognised TAFE institution, or an equivalent qualification, appropriate to the nature of the work
the ability to swim and work at heights
swift water/boating training
a current First Aid Certificate
