\\ We need your expertise:
In this role you will provide expert technical advice in hydrology and water resource science for our consultants and clients.
You will provide advice for aquifer testing of bores, analyse and interpret aquifer test results and provide reports, assessments of effects and evidence to support resource consent applications and environmental due diligence reports.
You may also have the opportunity to contribute to other aspects of our business.
This is an important role that will provide the opportunity to work on interesting and diverse projects across the Bay of Plenty.
\\ What you bring:
The ability and desire to learn new skills and think outside the box.
A degree in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience as a Water Resource Scientist/Hydrologist or equivalent.
Expertise in practical hydrology, including the analysis and interpretation of pump test data.
A solid understanding of the impacts of land use activities on water quality and quantity.
An understanding of resource management issues and practices relating to hydrology in rural and urban areas.
Experience of hydrological and hydrometric analysis software such as AQTESOLVE; hydrology modelling software; and ideally ArcGIS or QGIS.
Strong organizational ability, and capable of prioritizing conflicting demands in a busy environment, to achieve deadlines and see responsibilities through to completion.
