About the Role
We are seeking a suitably qualified and/or experienced person to join our Hydrology team. This position involves the collection, processing and quality assurance of surface water and meteorological data, which supports the management of water resources across Taranaki.
The successful applicant will be involved in the installation and maintenance of environmental monitoring equipment, including the Council’s regional automated monitoring networks.
About you
This role requires an aptitude for quality data, exceptional attention to detail, data processing skills and strong computer literacy. While a tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific/engineering field is desirable, those with practical experience in electronics and/or instrumentation are also invited to apply.
The Council is a busy environment where you will need to be versatile, resourceful and have exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills. Data management skills and a can do attitude are essential, as is a full driver’s licence.
