We’re seeking a qualified and experienced person who can provide technical input into land, water and coastal management whilst providing guidance and mentoring to the team.
This role comprises analysis, research, reporting, advising, planning, project managing, as well as developing process and policy. You’ll be across the region’s water quantity and allocations, water quality and aquatic ecosystem health, land management, forestry, coastal management and natural hazards - it’s fair to say no two days are the same!
Up for the challenge? Great! – you’ll need to have:
a relevant degree such as: environmental sciences, hydrology, geography or natural resources;
5 years post graduate land, water or coastal management experience or equivalent;
a current full driver’s licence;
knowledge of the RMA 1991;
excellent written and verbal communication skills:
experience in dealing with the public;
demonstrating knowledge of project management;
the ability to clearly communicate and report, statistical information, presentations to the community and stakeholders
