We have an exciting fixed term position for a Water Quality Science Officer now available within Council’s Environmental Monitoring and Science Section.
Focus on drinking water, wastewater and groundwater sampling, but also some river and coastal water quality sampling programs
Sample logistics and maintaining relationships with our analytical laboratory contractors and key internal and external stakeholders.
Quality control, analyses and reporting to do with the above water quality results.
Ideal candidates must be able to swim, legally work in NZ and drive a manual vehicle. Your strong science skills will be complemented by a can-do attitude and a keenness for involvement in both fieldwork and management of the critical environmental data which is collected. You won’t be afraid to do plenty of driving and get your hands dirty from time to time!
