WCRC.png

Genesis has an opportunity for a Senior Hydrology Technician to work within our Generation and Wholesale team based at Tokaanu Power Station.

Key to this role is providing specialist knowledge and support of the Renewable Energy hydrology networks and associated equipment, to ensure the reliability and continuity of information being supplied to the control system and maintaining compliance with Genesis’ Resource Consent requirements.  This includes undertaking hydrology investigations, roll-out, testing and implementation of new hydrology technologies, systems and processes.  You will utilise the Maintenance Management System to capture all plant knowledge and reporting as well as updating all hydrology related documentation and records.

Ideally, you will have experience maintaining a hydrometric network and have experience in the electronic management and archiving of hydrological data. You will also have excellent communication skills and attention to detail, a strong focus on quality and Safety and Wellness. A relevant tertiary degree and/or experience using Hilltop or other hydrology data management and analytics software is essential. A driver’s licence is essential as there are times when you will be required to travel to other sites across New Zealand.

While we're keen to find a senior technician with expertise in this field, we're also open to candidates eager to grow their careers. Whether you're an experienced professional or just starting out, if you're passionate about hydrology and renewable energy, we'd love to hear from you, please apply via the link below:
